Project Remission: Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Texas Gulf Coast Veterans with Posttraumatic Stress
San Antonio program offers 3-week treatment with leading therapy to post-9/11 veterans impacted by Hurricane Harvey; grant covers costs for care, travel, lodging

Are you a post-9/11 veteran living along the Texas Gulf Coast* who was impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and do you suffer from posttraumatic stress?

The STRONG STAR Consortium at UT Health San Antonio may be able to help you. With funding from the Bob Woodruff Foundation in partnership with the Qatar Harvey Fund, STRONG STAR is offering a 3-week, individual, intensive outpatient program with a top PTSD therapy that has been tailored to and shown to be highly successful with military service members and veterans. The treatment format also has been popular with those who want to focus on their PTSD treatment with the goal of a quick recovery.

Texas Gulf Coast veterans who enroll in the program will attend full-day therapy sessions each weekday at STRONG STAR offices in San Antonio, utilizing an enhanced form of Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy. Grant funding covers the cost of care as well as related travel and lodging.
