Treatment for PTSD and Posttraumatic Headaches
Clinical study in San Antonio offers gold-standard care at no cost

Has an injury you suffered during a post-9/11 military deployment left you dealing with chronic headaches and posttraumatic stress? The Consortium to Alleviate PTSD is offering free, leading-edge treatment without charge as part of a clinical research study for service members and veterans with PTSD symptoms and posttraumatic headache.

This study, which is being conducted in San Antonio, compares three different forms of treatment: (1) standard care for posttraumatic headache through the South Texas Veterans Health Care System’s Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio; (2) a gold-standard, cognitive-behavioral intervention for headache; (3) a gold-standard treatment for PTSD, Cognitive Processing Therapy.

Are you experiencing any of these symptoms?
--Recurring headaches since a deployment-related head injury--Desire to avoid trauma reminders
--Feeling jumpy or always on edge--Loss of interest in regular activities
--Haunting memories, nightmares, or flashbacks--Mood swings or irritability

If so, this may be a great option for you. Contact us to learn more about this and our other ongoing programs.
