Pain Management Program for
Veterans with Psychological Distress
Study in San Antonio aims to help decrease use of opioid pain medications

Are you a military veteran with service-related chronic pain and psychological distress, looking for a way to reduce your use of opioid/narcotic medications?

The STRONG STAR Consortium is testing a drug-free alternative for pain management, which integrates various self-management strategies with physical therapy and medical care. The study, which is being conducted in San Antonio in collaboration with the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, offers treatment at no cost with either the alternative pain management program or the VA’s standard treatment plan.

Are you a military veteran with the following:
--Chronic pain? --Long-term opioid pain medication use (present or past)?
--Psychological distress?--Desire for other pain management options?

If so, this may be a great option for you. Contact us to learn more about this and our other ongoing programs.
